Best “choice of” game I have ever played. The ronin experience is well-written and engaging. Been waiting for the sequel and am SO excited for this.
This was brilliant! I was eagerly awaiting the second book, and this demo was awesome 😀 (I have a major soft spot for Toshio, so was nice to interact with him again!)

I am absolutly in love with your writing. Its beautiful and unique, something you dont see often. You last book was a masterpiece and I can tell this one will be aswell.

I’ve replayed the first book many times already, and when I found out that the demo for Book 2 was released, (I’m late, I’m sorry Dx) I stayed up late and replayed this many times too! 😀 I honestly can’t wait for the full game to be released <3 this story may be my favorite out of all the similar games out there, the characters are interesting, not to mention the amazing storyline. You have my support <3

I’ve finally gotten around to making a comment after weeks since the initial demo release. I remember, that day on June 17, I had the sudden urge the check on this website for any new updates. I haven’t checked in months! It was fate! So, the moment I read “Book 2 Demo,” I was literally jumping in my seat.
I loved the first book and it’s possibly my favorite hosted game ever. I replayed it many times, because I love the plot, the feel of the settings, different outcomes and how I can just keep reading them over and over once I’ve finished a playthrough. Hearing that Book 2 will establish more romantic options also had me feeling giddy. I’m looking forward towards more action, character development and how the overall story will tell.
The demo was fantastic! Like the first book, I couldn’t stop replaying the demo. It’s only the demo and I still couldn’t get enough of it. I love that the fact that if you’re not aware of common games in Japan like shogi, you can learn along with the Protagonist. I just love how it helped connect me, personally, more with the tale. The story is always so exciting–the situations that the characters encounter has me on the edge of my bed, because it’s so interesting and new.
I can’t wait for the official release of the full book! I absolutely need mooooore. (੭ु´͈ ᐜ `͈)੭ु⁾⁾

The thing that I wanted the most out of this demo was knowing that would happen to Masami.
Great writing, just like the last book. The description of situations were on point to paint a picture in my mind and by the looks of the demo, book two will be a thrilling and emotion filled read just like the first book, if not a better one!
11/10 Would get my ass whopped again.
P.S. I laughed my ass off when I found the “Samurai Jack” reference in book one! It was the first name I thought of!

I loved the first book and I love the second (demo) so far!!! I am a huge fan now if I wasn’t before. I am also a producer/composer and I would love to see this in a anime or movie because I keep hearing music in my head as I read. If you ever think about going that route (I’m pretty sure you would have more people who’s more qualified) but I would LOVE to give you some scores if possible. Hey, a man can dream right? Hahaha. An anime version of Samurai of Hyuga would be awesome! I spent some time on youtube looking at AMVs before writing Book 2, and had a hard time finding one that fit. SoH really isn’t like a shonen—the themes are more mature and the tone is pretty gritty.

That was one of my favorite episodes and the song was fitting. I used to listen to a lot of music like that when I used to draw. I’ll definitely be waiting for the next book for sure!
(Minor, to me at least, spoilers)
I don’t dislike the game, in fact I love it a lot. But I’m struggling immensely on the shogi game. I don’t want to make a wrong decision because then I’ll have to restart the entire demo (yes I’m one of “those” players), and that means I have to keep restarting it over and over until the “pre-made character” fits my choices from the first book (by the way, I don’t appreciate the randomization of your choices in book one. I don’t know why you didn’t just let us choose what we did in book 1, but I’m sure you had your reasons so I’m not going to whine about it).
I love every minute of this game, but it was the shogi game that made me cringe a little because I want to have what you’d call the “perfect” playthrough, at least as far as I’m concerned. And that means completing the shogi game without making a single mistake. Sorry if I offended anyone or if I seem selfish or something, not my intention.
I’m sorry to hear about your Shogi struggles! There are only two Shogi questions in the entire game, and neither requires any Shogi knowledge. The first is logical—which piece has space to move left on the board? The second tests your recall—the MC told him/herself to commit what the ‘king’ piece looks to memory.
Premade MC is not intended to be a 1-to-1 copy of your original MC. I know readers will be more attached to the character they loaded in from Book 1, and that’s how the game is intended to be played. The premade system was made so that you could try other kinds of MC without having to start over from the very beginning.
Of course for the demo, only premade MCs are available. I hope that clarifies things!
Hi I am new and I subscribed to you to learn about new games but despite that and because I love this game and am very curious to know when is the full version coming out oh and is going to for download for Android.
P.S. you should make the demo here on this website for download I think that would make people who likes (or for my case loves) your game (games) aware that you making a book two hope it comes out soon.
I don’t know when Book 2 will be released, but I will be sure to post the date on twitter when I do. The game will definitely be released on Android!

As with the first book I had hoped to use the demo for a few playthroughs to determine which choices raise which stat, but that doesn’t really work when my demo-ronin responds in a way my mc wouldn’t.
